This week we are to write 3 things we are grateful for, each day, on an index card and review them regularly. What a wonderful way to start your day! It can be as simple as gratitude for a warm shower.
I am grateful for this opportunity to open my eyes and thought to all the good in my life. I’m thinking this will also help with the mental diet we are partaking of. How can you have a negative thought when expressing gratitude?
On to a new year and a new me as I learn more about myself on this MKMMA journey. I can’t believe it is halfway over already. So much learned and more to come! It is rewarding to be sharing this adventure with others and finding new friends and support along the way. As Mark J says “Peace be the journey!”
Happy New Year and new you!
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It
turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into
order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a
meal into a feast, a house into a home, a
stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes
sense of our past, brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie
“You cannot be grateful and bitter.
You cannot be grateful and unhappy.
You cannot be grateful and unloving.
So just be grateful.” – Anonymous
“If you woke up this morning with more
health than illness, you are more blessed
than the million who will not survive the
week. If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over your head
and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75
percent of the world. If you have money in
the bank or in your wallet, you are among
the world’s wealthy. If you hold up your
head with a smile on your face and are truly
thankful;, you are blessed because the
majority can, but most do not.” – Anonymous
“If the only prayer you ever say in your
Whole life is Thank you, that would suffice.” – Meitser Eckhart
“A grateful heart a garden is,
Where there is always room
For every lovely, Godlike grace
To come to perfect bloom.” – Christian Science Hymnal – hymn #3.
